Aldi Paris

I was born in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Grew up in Surabaya, a heroic city in Java. But, deep inside my body, there is Minang’s blood. My Minang’s ancestors used to say, “..Nature, expanded to become a teacher (Alam terkembang menjadi guru)..”.  Therefore, I love to walk around, wherever the destination. Traveling help me to understand what is mother of nature did and what is God message in this world.

Photography Achievement:

2007

• Started to learn photography using DSLR. It was Canon EOD 350D.

2008

• Vacuum time in photography.

2009

• Returned to learn photography with Olympus E-620.
• Finalist on Minangkabau Photography Competition, held by Minangkabau Society in Bandung Instute of Technology.

2010

• Winner on “Action” monthly competition, held by Karl Taylor Photography in London, UK.
• Winner as Editor Choice on Southeast Asia Award Photography Competition for April 2010 edition, held by ASEAN Tourism Association.
• 3rd Place on International Black & White 2010 Photo Competition, held by ePhotoAwards.
• Accepted on 5th Malta International Photographic Exhibition & Competition, held by Malta Photographic Society.

2011

• Finalist on 2nd Water Integrity Photo Competition – The Urban Water & Corruption Challenge in Stockholm, Sweden.
• Diploma ISF from VI Salon Fotográfico Illes Balears 2011, Andorra.
• Favourite Photo Category on Surabaya Heritage Photo Competition 2011.

2012

• One of 54 best photos on UNESCO-UNEVOC Photo Contest “Work Has Many Faces” and awarded to published in Third International Congress on Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Shanghai, China at 13-16 May 2012.
• 1st Winner of 36th IPA (Indonesia Petroleum Association) Photo Competition 2012 in Jakarta.
